where is a good place where I can get some fishing maps of my local area?

1. go on google, type in your state and then fish and game. for example. my state is Mass. i typed in mass fish and game. then click fisheries. you'll then get to this page-- http://www.mass.gov/dfwele/dfw/habitat/maps/ponds/pond_maps.htm good luck
2. You can also go on google or map quest and get a aerial view of your lake. Look for the structures and deep pools

4. Your local wally world or sporting goods store probably carry paper versions of local lakes. They are called fishing hot spots. Online try bass forums, or yes google maps. Google doesn't really show a lot of depth changes or structure.
5. First of all you can find almost anything on the internet- Go to google or yahoo and search. Also, most local outdoor stores sell maps of local fishing/hunting hot spots!! Good Luck!!
6. The Department of Natural Resources has online maps & charts for most States in the US. The maps may not be "current" (like 10-20 years old) but works well for fishing and most of all ARE FREE! Hope this helps ya? Good fishing!
