Fishing Maps

What will you leave behind when the fishing day is over?

I'm leaving a legacy for my kids on CD about my fishing adventures, all my fishing tips and what not. I 've been doing this for 2 years running, like a gift for them when I'm long gone. Are any of you doing the same? Why or why not?~ CD ~Nathan, that's not a bad idea, I'll make it the 3rd Cd next year. ~Gimme, Thanks for that idea, now I gotta make a part 1 1/2 to cover it all. ; )

  1. That's a great idea, Chimp... I plan on instilling a sense of respect and love for the great outdoors regardless of interest in fishing... I also plan on leaving behind at least one tacklebox, hopefully with what will become heirloom lures that I have from my grandfather's tacklebox... !!!!... That leads me into one of my questions for today!! Maybe even two questions!! Just gotta dig out the tacklebox and take a few pics and upload them! Thanks! Edit: What with my mother and aunt coming over yesterday and us starting on the floors (my god, this terrazzo is gorgeous!) and Brandon having taken the digital camera with him on his trip, and me not being able to find the cord to upload pictures from my cell phone, my question will have to wait... this week is going to be filled with busyness, I'll be thinking of more questions and hopefully catching up with everything here... maybe I'll have some free time at some point...
  2. My equipment I believe most of the people that I have taught will remember me for a long time.. That is the reason why I like teaching people on a one on one level you can help them out and give them something to remember for a long time. As far as my equipment goes I might split it up with all you people in here even though it is not much and I usually buy the inexpensive stuff
  3. I usually leave behind the warm tears of terrified fish, trembling in fear and defecating all over themselves at the sight of the carnage I had wrought that day. I leave behind the shattered minds of mommy fish who watched their only fishling torn apart with by the cold rusty iron hooks from hell. Other days I just behind some trash and a new found disrespect for mother nature.
  4. Wow that's Father of the Year material Chimp! I guess we can all say this Q&A board is one way, sharing our knowledge, ideas and experiences with one another at the hopes of it being in cyberspace forever. You should maybe bump up the production value and make instructional DVD's for them, like watching their dad do his own fishing show geared totally for them.
  5. footprints and memories.
  6. Some fond memories with friends and family and gear enough for everybody
