  1. A big topwater lure like a Cotton Cordell Pencil Popper or a big metal-lipped saltwater Diving Rapala Magnums. Both work good in saltwater with a mackeral-colored finish. Here in Southern California, guys in kayaks use the big mackeral-colored Diving Rapala Magnums for thresher shark.
  2. None. Use real or live bait.
  3. ava jigs, hopkins, darters, bottlehead poppers, pencil poppers, danny's and bucktails. and those little tuna are called false albies
  4. I see you've already got some few recommendations on what lures would be best for saltwater fishing. My brother and I are currently shopping for a new fishing rod for our Dad and we happened to come across a great site called, FishFreakOnline.com I suggest you check out their selection of saltwater fishing lures - http://fishfreakonline.com/saluba.html I'm sure they offer those lures that have been recommended here. We were really impressed with their entire selection, fishing rods and tackle, and their prices were quite reasonable. Just figured I would pass along this site for you to check out. http://fishfreakonline.com/ Hope that helps!
