I want to do a do it yourself fly fishing adventure all over New Zealand?

The promblem is i have no idea where to start the planning or where to go to gather info, anybody know anything?

1. Ther best areas in New Zealand i know for fly fishing are Rotorua and Turangi (supposedly the fly fishing capital of the world). Both are in the North Island of New zealand, and are about 2 hours from each other. Theres plenty of accomodation in either town. You'd do best to fly into Auckland, then drive down to Rotorua, spend some time there, then carry on down to Turangi. The fishing season in NZ is from Oct - April. You'll need a NZ fishing license, available from any fishing goods store, and the people at the stores are full of knowlege about where to fish, and what fly to use. As i recall a license is about $80nz for the season.
